Quantify Crypto Trend for Dash
Dash is a clone of Litecoin, which means it created a new blockchain, using the Litecoin code base as a starting point. It is the first blockchain project to implement masternodes. A 'master node' is a type of proof of stake mining node, where users must have a certain balance of coins to become a miner, DASH requires 1,000 coins to run a masterminded. It was created by Evan Duffield in January of 2014. It was originally known as Darkcoin but later rebranded as Dash in March of 2015. Transaction speed can be increased through masternode only validation which excludes miners. Privacy can also be enabled through “PrivateSend” transactions. Dash has a voting system in place that can enable quick changes in governance.
